Community cafe is open for business as usual on Thursdays, between 11.30am and 1.30pm in Gowkthrapp­le Community Centre. The cafe serves tasty and affordable snack lunches and a place to enjoy a chat. There is also a take away menu. Club Sun Fun Day next meets this Sunday, February 4, in Gowkthrapp­le Community Centre between 1pm and 2pm. All primary school aged children will be made most welcome. Activities at the club includes listening to Bible stories, drawing, painting, make things and enjoying a snack lunch together. For further informatio­n, contact K Crichton.

Orange Halls Events this week begins with Craigneuk Pride of Ulster LLOL 24 meeting tonight (Wednesday, January 31) at 7.30pm. Bingo is held on Monday nights, for eyes down at 7.30pm. All welcome. Craigneuk True Defenders Flute Band practise starts on Tuesdays at 7.30pm. Daughters of the Somme LLOL 1916 will next meet on Thursday at 7.30pm. Craigneuk Apprentice Boys of Derry are holding a race night on Saturday, February 17, featuring Craigneuk True Defenders Flute Band, starting at 7.30pm.

Law

Burns night The Law branch of the SNP group are holding their annual Folk and Burns Night in Law Bowling Club this Friday, February 2, 7.30pm. Tickets cost £7, and includes a meal.
