Another great competition
Alba Photographic Society members held their first digital image competition of 2018 recently.
The competition was judged by Gordon McMann, past president and honorary member of Queen’s Park Camera Club.
His expertise in portraits and studio work shone through in the judging process.
Gordon was precise and entertaining when giving critiques and advice on various images, whilst giving Alba members a few ideas on how to improve their work.
The winning images were: League 1, first, preparing to ditch, by Derek Monaghan; second, David Brodie and third Matt Blackhurst.
League 2, first, horse and hound by Sarah Thomas; second, Cheryl Bradley and third Matt Blackhurst.

He gave an excellent talk on the history and the security built into the modern passport service and answered many questions put to him by the Rotary members.
