Calderhead High School parent council meets on the first Thursday of every month at 6pm in the school. In a change to normal meeting dates, the next meeting will be tomorrow (Thursday, February 7). If you are a parent or guardian of a pupil, you will be made welcome to come along and observe one of these meetings. The parent council also have a Twitter account “@CalderheadPC” and the minutes of meetings can be found on the school’s website. Shotts gala day If you shop online, you can now donate to the gala day by using the following link: https:// www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/ shottsgaladay/. 3rd Shotts Scout Group The scout hall at 100 Benhar Road, Shotts, is available for any organisations in the community to use, and requests to do so should be made to Mrs Mary Lees (Group Scout Leader) on 01501 821658. Shotts and District Rotary Club have their meetings every Wednesday evening in the Station Hotel, Shotts. For further information about any Rotary Club matter, contact David McCloy, secretary, on 07961204871. EU Congregational Church A men’s breakfast will be held in the church this Saturday, February 10, from 9am to 11am. On Sunday morning, the morning service will be at 11.30am with the evening service at 6.30pm. Everyone will be made welcome, and singing group meets on Tuesdays at 7pm. Salvation Army Corps The friendship club meets on Tuesdays, at 1pm to 3pm. On Wednesday, the youth club is held from 6pm to 8pm and the toddlers’ group is on Thursdays, at 9.30am to 11.30am. The prayer meeting is on Thursday evenings, at 7pm. Friday Club meets at 5.45pm to 6.45pm, followed by the JAM Club from 6.45pm to 7.45pm. The Sunday morning meeting is at 10.45pm, and this week will be led by Major Danielle Norton. Everyone will be made welcome. Bon Accord Club The club are taking new bookings, so get in touch if you would like to hold an event there. Vocalist Des D will be in the lounge on Saturday from 9pm. Bingo is played on Wednesday and Friday from 8pm and Saturday at 10pm. The club would like to thank everyone who attended the recent Burns Supper. The function hall is available to hire
