A Motherwell superfan has been voted the best of the year by fans across the country.
Tom Feely, joint-chair of the Well Society, came out on top of the Scottish Football Supporters Association (SFSA) 2017 fan awards in the category of‘Fan of the Year’.
He has followed the Steelmen for 55 years and was presented with his award at half-time during the game against Partick Thistle.
Speaking after the game, Tom said: “I’m delighted personally to receive this award. However, I think it’s more an award for everyone involved in the Well Society for their tremendous support and hard work.
“We now have close to 2400 members who have supported us through our first year in fan ownership and this award is fantastic recognition of the positive impact the Well Society have made.”
Tom was recognised for the countless hours of work he puts in on a voluntary basis as joint chair of the Well Society.
