Students getting the balance right
Health fayre
The annual health fayre took place in the school from Monday to Thursday last week.
This year’s theme was “Find the Balance” and there were a selection of activities in which the pupils could participate.
Local primary schools provided a selection of creative posters to be displayed in the assembly hall.
Staff and pupils were in charge of the stalls and sporting activities to raise awareness of a balanced lifestyle.
Customer Service Excellence Award
Once again, the school has embarked upon the Customer Service Excellence Award and is delighted to announce its recent success. This year, the school has achieved 22 Compliance Plus categories.
This is a huge achievement and, along with 32 areas of Good Practice, these are the best results to date for this award.
The assessor highlighted the significant work committed to areas such as transition, partnerships, monitoring and tracking, pupil support and learning and teaching.
He also praised the work of staff and the very positive attitude of the pupils he met.
Many thanks to all staff, pupils and parents who were involved in the inspection, and a huge congratulations to the entire Dalziel High School community.
