Beauty and the Beast from the East
Shotts primary school children, along with pupils of Calderhead and St Aidan’s High Schools, braved the effects of the Beast from the East to prepare for another beast - this year’s junior show.
Calderhead High School and St Patrick Operatic Society will present the junior production of Beauty and the Beast, which will involve 60 pupils from P5 to S2.
The opening night will be on Wednesday, April 25, at 7.30pm with performances on Thursday, April 26, at 7.30pm, Friday 27th at 7.30pm, Saturday, April 28, at 2.30pm and 7.30pm, and the final performance will be on Sunday, April 28, at 2.30pm.
Tickets cost £8 for all performances and will be on sale at The Wee Ten O’Clock shop and McNeill’s Newsagents from Wednesday, April 4.

The committee have organised their gala day Easter party on Sunday, March 25 from 1pm till 4pm in the Springhill Marble Club with Loony Toons Disco. Attractions on the day will include hot dogs, raffles and there will also be a visit from the Easter bunny! Tickets are £4 from any committee member. 3rd Shotts Scout Group The scout hall at 100 Benhar Road, Shotts, is available for organisations in the community and requests to Mrs Mary Lees (Group Scout Leader) on 01501 821658.
