times I’ve had to take my disabled 17-year-old down when we’ve either stayed or had to spend hours on the children’s ward they haven’t had a working hoist to enable me to lift my son out of his wheelchair!

They did have hoists, yes, but hadn’t plugged them in to charge them The Wishaw Press have kicked off a fantastic new feature to find our readers’digital picture of the week.

We have teamed up with Morrisons in Kirk Road who will provide a FREE family meal for four (two adults and two children) at their cafe for every readers’ digital picture of the week that we print in our newspaper.

It can be photograph, selfie or image that you or your children have taken on a digital camera, iPad, or smartphone.

We are looking for either a picture that you have taken in the Wishaw area or perhaps a selfie of your family while you were on holiday at home or therefore they were inoperable – what’s the use of that?

Myself and another two or three members of staff had to take a corner each of his sling to lift him in and out his chair! Whilst staff are lovely and helpful this is not good enough Gail Gibson abroad, or children’s drawing on an iPad.

We would also like pictures of your special occasions, such as wedding anniversaries, children’s birthday parties, retirements dos, family celebrations, party pictures, club or group pictures, or any other big day or charity event.

All you have do is send your picture to us at news@ wishawpress. co.uk or contact us through our Facebook and Twitter pages.

Please make sure you include your name, address and contact details and information about your picture.
