SORT IT OUT

- Harry Potter party

Calderhead Library was transformed into Hogwarts’ School of Witchcraft and Wizardry recently to celebrate Harry Potter Book Night.

Pupils who had signed up to take part received their Hogwarts’ letter shortly before the event, inviting them to attend Hogwarts’ Calderhead campus.

On the day, they were introduced to Caldie, the Library owl, and were sorted into their respective Houses, with help from Mrs Lumsden and Mrs Phee.

The students then participated in a potions class prepared by Mrs Crosbie, who took sinister delight in helping them concoct Goblin Slobber, Laughter Potion and Dragon Flare.

The school’s resident special effects make-up artist, Megan Pettigrew in S4, also created some very realistic Harry Potter scars.

The pupils had a great time before happily returning to their muggle classes in the afternoon.
