Top night of tungsten at Masters

-

Darts fans still have time to grab their tickets for next month’s Motherwell Masters featuring two of the game’s biggest stars.

Scotland’s own Gary Anderson takes on Dutch superstar Raymond van Barneveld at Motherwell Concert Hall on Friday, June 8.

Crowd favourite Anderson, nicknamed The Flying Scotsman, has already taken on five-time world champ Barney in this year’s PDC Premier League with a 6-6 draw in Nottingham before Barney battered Anderson 7-3 last Thursday.

Two-time world champion Anderson has played in front of sell-out crowds at the venue in each of the last couple of years, and is looking forward to returning.

He said:“The nights we have had in Motherwell have been fantastic.

“The crowds have been absolutely incredible and I’m looking forward to experiencing the atmosphere again.

“I’m sure they’ll give Barney a nice Scottish welcome too, and it will be a brilliant night.”

In addition to the battle between those two legends, two of the sport’s best entertainers will also be appearing, as Wayne Mardle and Bobby George take to the stage . There will also be a challenge match between Scottish ladies Lynn Cowan and Susanna McGimpsey.

Tickets for the event costs £30 with VIP meet and greet tickets costing £65 and are available by logging onto the Culture NL website or call 01698 403120.

Children must be accompanied by an adult age 18+ at all times.
