Best of friends get the bug
Craigneuk Lifelong Learning Association hit the high notes at their recent celebration to mark Bookbug’s Friends Week.
Liz Nolan, crèche co-ordinator, said:“All the kids and their families who attend our Bookbug sessions on a Wednesday morning were invited to come along to take part in the event and we invited Step Wee Ceilidh along to join in the fun and provide lots of music, dancing and singing.
“We also invited some children and staff from the Craigneuk Family Learning Centre to join in with us too and the children and staff had a great time. Our stories and songs were friends-related and all the kids thoroughly enjoyed receiving their stickers and certificates and colouring in pictures”.
Craigneuk Lifelong Learning Association is run by volunteers and provides both vocational and non-vocational courses to the local community.
If you would like to register for the Bookbug group that runs on a Wednesday at 10.45am, or for information on any of their courses, contact Louise Healy on 01698 373401, e-mail louisehealy.clla@gmail.com, or pop into the unit, Monday to Friday, at 641A Glasgow Road, Craigneuk.
