Calderhead High School parent council meet on the first Thursday of every month at 6pm in the school. If you are a parent or guardian of a pupil, you can come along and observe one of their meetings. The parent council also have a Twitter account “@Calderhead­PC” and the minutes of meetings can be found on the school’s website. Shotts gala day If you shop online, you can now donate to next year’s gala day event by using the following link https://www.easyfundra­ising. org.uk/causes/shottsgala­day/. 3rd Shotts Scout Group The scout hall at 100 Benhar Road, Shotts, is available for any organisati­ons in the community to use and requests to do so should be made to Mrs Mary Lees (group scout leader) on 01501 821658. Shotts and District Rotary Club have their meetings every Wednesday evening in the Station Hotel, Shotts. For further informatio­n about any Rotary club matter, contact David McCloy, secretary, on 0796120487­1. EU Congregati­onal Church the morning service on Sunday is at 11.30am and the evening service is at 6.30pm. Singing group meets in the church on Tuesdays at 7pm. Salvation Army Corps the friendship club meets on Tuesdays, from 1pm to 3pm. On Wednesday, the youth club take place at 6pm to 8pm. The toddlers’ group is on Thursday mornings from 9.30am to 11.30am. Prayer meetings are held on Thursday evenings at 7pm. Friday club and JAM club will hold their prize giving this week and meets at the usual time of 5.45pm to 7.45pm. Bon Accord Club The club is taking new bookings, so please get in touch if you would like to hold an event there. The function hall is available to hire for events and weddings. Please note the Demonstrat­ion 2018 fundraiser with Bobby Parks and the Prince of Wales accordion band on Saturday has now sold out. Lodge St John 471 The regular meetings of the lodge are now in recess, and will resume later in the year. Shotts Community Council meets on the first Monday of the month in the Community Centre, in Kirk Road, at 7.30pm. Members of the public are welcome to attend these meetings.
