Dalziel St Andrew’s Parish Church morning worship continues in the church on Sunday at 11am. The service includes British Sign Language signing and electronic note taking to assist those who are deaf or hard of hearing. For those unable to attend the church there is an option to share in the live worship via the church’s website at www. dalzielsta­ndrews.org.uk, or catch up later on You Tube. The church are keen to receive feedback from people who use their online services in a bid to help them to improve their output. Although, the Sunday school and Fusion bible class have now finished until August, there will be plenty for the youngsters to do each Sunday, with the start of the summer Sunday holiday club at 11am. It will meet each Sunday in the church and take the theme of an emoji story, with lots of fun and games and snacks on offer. Thanks are given to all those who support the Awards for All event, with no charge made for attendance. Registrati­on forms are now available at the church. The sisterhood meets on Wednesdays for their summer get togethers,starting at 2pm. The prayer groups will not meet until the autumn, but there is still an opportunit­y to lodge prayer requests by dropping a note into the prayer request boxes, which can be found at the doors of the church, or submit these via the church’s website. All requests will be handled in strict confidence. This year’s summer holiday club will begin on Monday, July 30 and run until Friday, August 3. This popular club for primary school aged children will run from Monday, July 30 until Friday, August 3, starting each day at 11am and finishing at 2pm (and includes a meal). Again, no charge will be made for attendance at the event. The creche continues at the church each week throughout the summer. South Wishaw Parish Church Wednesday’s midday service will be followed by refreshmen­ts. Morning worship on Sunday at 11am will be conducted by Rev Terry Moran. The church would like to thank all who supported the recent Awards for All submission­s. Houldswort­h Bowling Club the function room will be closed on Saturday, but the lounge will be open as normal. Each Tuesday, the ladies section hosts a bingo evening, for eyes down at 8.30pm. Rotary Club Last week saw the Rotary Club of Motherwell and Wishaw’s handover dinner in the Bentley Hotel, Motherwell. Outgoing president, Andrew Murray, handed over the club’s presidenti­al chain of office to the new president, Andrew Steven, who is a partner in the law firm, Watters and Steven which is based in Motherwell. Andrew reviewed his year as president and commented on some of the highlights. New president, Andrew Steven, then outlined his plans and thoughts for the new session. The newly appointed junior vice president was Katrina Gibbons, who was presented with her medal. The convenors of the new committee were then presented to the members and their guests.
