Calderhead High School parent council are now on holiday. The next meeting will be held in September. If you are a parent or guardian of a pupil, you can come along and observe one of their meetings. The parent council also have a Twitter account “@CalderheadPC” and the minutes of meetings can be found on the school’s website. Gala day If you shop online, you can now donate to next year’s gala day by using the following link https:// www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/ shottsgaladay/. 3rd Shotts Scout Group The scout hall at 100 Benhar Road, Shotts, is available for any organisations in the community to use, and requests to do so should be made to Mrs Mary Lees (group scout leader) on 01501 821658. Shotts and District Rotary Club have their meetings every Wednesday evening in the Station Hotel, Shotts. EU Congregational Church the morning service on Sunday will take place in the church at the usual time of 11.30am. Salvation Army Corps the friendship club meets on Tuesdays, from 1pm to 3pm, all other clubs are now on holiday for the summer. Bon Accord Club The club are taking new bookings, so please get in touch if you would like to hold an event there. The function hall is available to hire for events and weddings. Singer Claudia Toner will be in the lounge on Saturday night. Bingo is played at 8pm on Wednesday and Fridays and 10pm on Saturday. The club are looking for part-time bar staff. Experience is preferred. If you are interested , call 01501 821542 on a Monday afternoon or Friday evening and ask to speak to either Pauline or Mags. Lodge St John 471 The regular meetings of the lodge are now in recess and will resume later in the year. Community council meets on the first Monday of the month in the Community Centre in Kirk Road at 7.30pm. Members of the public are welcome
