Cambusneth­an Old and Morningsid­e Parish Church Morning worship on Sunday is at 11.30am, with Sunday school taking place during the service. Anyone who requires pastoral duties this week should contact any elder at the church who will make arrangemen­ts for a visit. Please note the change of time of this service. Made4u in ML2 Your Thursday club has now resumed, and the lunch club will resume tomorrow (Thursday, August 23. All other children’s and young people’s groups will start back from next Monday, August 27. The staff hope that everyone has had a great summer and look forward to welcoming all back very soon. Cambusneth­an Club entertainm­ent this week begins with social dancing in the concert hall plus cash bingo on Thursdays. Friday sees cabaret and dancing with Danny (Revelation­s) plus bingo. Saturday sees cabaret and dancing in the concert hall and features top vocalists, George Cormack along with a support act plus bingo, snowball of £150 and treasure chest. Sunday afternoon sees singalong in the lounge with Billy Meredith, 4.30pm to 9.30pm, with snacks available. There is dancing to Johnny Weir plus bingo on Mondays, and Slimming World class at 7.30pm on Tuesdays. Pre-show are meals available for parties on Saturdays; phone Robin on 0779900076­5 for details. Show Rod Williams, evangelist and author of biography, The Real Deal, will perform his show ‘The Real Deal’ live at Bonkle Church tonight (Wednesday, August 22) at 7pm, as part of the church’s annual barbecue. Rod will tell the story of his escape from a life of addiction and crime to one of turning to God and finding freedom. He will also perform some magic tricks on the night. The event is free and all are welcome to bring along their family and friends. Walking group the next planned walk will be along the Bonkle circuit on Sunday. The group will meet in the church car park at 2pm. Badminton club will resume on September 3, at 7.30pm, when new members will be made welcome. Ladies fellowship will resume their regular meetings in Bonkle Church hall on September 25.
