Ridiculous repairs timing

-

Last week’s story on the council closing one of the busiest roads in the town just as children were returning to school drew an angry response from our online readers. It’s a disgrace there are three schools starting back on Coltness Road the same day the roadworks start - ridiculous timing by the council. Linda Duffy Total joke. They had seven weeks to do this and they do it when they are back at school. Elaine Noch They could have done the roadworks when the kids were off school.

North Lanarkshire Council are a joke. Wendy Farrell Disappointing but not surprising. Peter Robson The shocking rat infestation on The Broadway in Craigneuk that was terrifying a group of neighbours drew many comments of shock from our readers. Maybe if the council hadn’t cut back on the bin collections this wouldn’t be as much of a problem. Lorraine Burns I’m in Gateside Road and I have them. I’m sitting in my dads and terrified to go home. Sharon Ann Rooney Could be related to the fact that the council introduced general waste bin removal only once a month?

Don’t know, just saying as there might be a connection!

Need to find the root cause of the problems! Thewishaw Press have kicked off a fantastic new feature to find our readers’digital picture of the week.

We have teamed up with Morrisons in Kirk Road who will provide a FREE family meal for four (two adults and two children) at their cafe for every readers’digital picture of the week that we print in our newspaper.

It can be photograph, selfie or image that you or your children have taken on a digital camera, ipad, or smartphone.

We are looking for either a picture that you have taken in thewishaw area or perhaps a selfie of your family while you were on holiday at home or abroad, or children’s drawing on an ipad.

We would also like pictures of your special occasions, such as wedding anniversaries, children’s birthday parties, retirements dos, family celebrations, party pictures, club or group pictures, or any other big day or charity event.

All you have do is send your picture to us at news@ wishawpress.co.uk or contact us through our Facebook andtwitter pages.

Please make sure you include your name, address and contact details and information about your picture.
