Wi s h aw Golf Club played their traditional Adults and Juveniles event over both eight and 18 holes.
Joe Prentice and Edward Dougan won the 18-hole event, while David Robert and Peter Brown stormed to victory on the eight-hole course.
The juniors also held their end-of-season prize giving.
Peter Brown said: “A big thanks to all those who have helped our junior section be such a success this year.
“The greenkeeper and his staff have given us a great course to play on.
“We also thank the bar staff for all their help, Connor Macleod and his committee for all their encouragement and financial support, the 65s section for their encouragement and financial help and our PGA professional David Park for his time and energy in coaching and beyond.
“Finally a big thank you to Alistair Hope, Euan Cameron, Shirley Hogg and the Walkers for taking some of the workload from me.”
Despite the trend of falling memberships across Scotland, Wishaw junior section has 40 kids playing every weekend with membership drawn from across North Lanarkshire and beyond.
Peter said: “Every week the competitions are competitive and that’s great for the kids.
“All they want to do is play golf. I asked them if they wanted the club to run a bus to The Open and they all said they would rather play on the course.
“The club have been right behind us. The members give up a lot of time and give great support, whether it be going out on the course or giving them clubs or bags.
“The trend across the board is that membership is down but we have kids who drive past other golf clubs to play here and that’s great for us.”for more information call the club on 01698 357480 or find Wishaw Junior Golf on Facebook.
