It’s one of the country’s most popular television shows and staple viewing for many once the dark nights draw in.

Since I’m A Celebrity...get Me Out Of Here launched in 2002, hundreds of celebritie­s have braved the show which sees them take on a variety of hair-raising and gag-inducing tasks in the Australian jungle.

And after this year’s series launched on Sunday – with famous faces such as Harry Redknapp, Nick Knowles and John Barrowman competing this time around – we took to the street in Wishaw to find out which of the Bushtucker trials would turn our readers’ stomachs the most.

She said: “The eating one is always absolutely horrible. I’d struggle with all the creepy crawlies too. I probably wouldn’t survive two minutes in there!”

Wishaw lass Shannon Thomas said any task involving snakes would have her screaming to escape.

She said: “Being in with snakes would definitely be the scariest thing for me to face.”

Lynne Howlett, who works at Wishaw hospital, said the eating challenge would be the worst task for her.

She said: “The thought of eating that grub and it popping in your mouth is just horrendous!”

Her son Jordan agreed, adding: “The eating ones always looks the worst.”
