The Wishaw community is rallying round in a bid to save an historic building in the town. Wishaw YMCA has been on Main Street for more than 100 years. It is currently going through a regeneration and transitional project after it was forced to close its doors last November. Readers were pleased with the efforts to save the old building. Long may it continue. Well done guys. Bernie Christie Well done guys. They are trying hard with what they’ve got.

Hopefully it can be open once again. Carrie-may Dunnigan North Lanarkshire Council will have to make £30 million of cuts following the Scottish Parliament’s budget settlement.
