Ross Eaglesham was the judge for the GDPU Image League battle between Motherwell Photographic Society and Alba from Wishaw. Ross is a school teacher and owns his own photographic business. He has a wealth of experience and is also a member of the Eastwood society. He was an excellent judge and gave a detailed critique of each image. It was an exciting and close competition with Alba winning on 321 to Motherwell’s 316 points. Alba’s “Partner in Crime” was the winning portrait image. Ross was warmly thanked by both clubs for his hard work and input. The Alba members thanked Motherwell for their hospitality during the competition. This week’s meeting on Thursday will be another inter-club competition - a fourway print battle between Motherwell, Carluke, Lanark and Hamilton clubs. Brenda stayed with an Indian rotarian family who lived on the 18th floor of a 20 story block on a security compound in the city. There she visited an eye hospital and saw the rotary’s school bus which travels with its driver and teacher to the shanty towns to bring education to the poor.
