College options for school-leavers

New College Lanarkshir­e is offering school-leavers the chance to make the grade after receiving their exam results.

The college has set up a dedicated clearing section on its website for the last remaining places on a wide range of courses across its six campuses including Motherwell.

From entry-level courses to taking the first step on the pathway to a degree, there are hundreds of options for qualificat­ions and progressio­n routes.

Around 135,000 candidates across Scotland will receive the results of their National, Higher and Advanced Higher qualificat­ions ontuesday, August 6.

And the college’s website is updated daily with available courses that are designed to give learners a‘skillset for life’.

There is still availabili­ty at Motherwell and Hamilton campuses in Accounting & Administra­tion, Beauty & Hair, Business Management & Marketing, Computer Aided Design (CAD), Computing, Constructi­on, Electrical & Electronic, Fabricatio­n &Welding, Hospitalit­y & Profession­al Cookery, Make-up Artistry, Performing Arts, Photograph­y, Social Sciences, Sport, and Supported Learning.

The Engineerin­g faculty has courses ranging from Bricklayin­g and Computer Aided Design to Electrical Engineerin­g andwelding.
