Top tribute acts in town

-

Music fans have the chance to swing back to 60s Beatlemania or dust down their blue suede shoes with two fantastic shows taking place in October.

Mario Kombou, star of the London West End musical Jailhouse Rock, is bringing The Elvis Years to Motherwell Concert Hall on Thursday, October 3.

Backed by an all-star band and award-winning singers, Mario covers 50 golden great songs of the King, spanning more than three decades.

The set could include songs such as That’s Alright Mama, Suspicious Minds, It’s Now or Never, Heartbreak Hotel, Blue Suede Shoes, Hound Dog and Love Me Tender.

The show will also feature nostalgic film footage and costume changes.

Or if you prefer the sound of the Fab Four to the King you can relive Beatlemania with tribute band The Cavern Beatles.

They will be appearing at the same venue on Friday, October 11.

The show is a magical history tour through the works of arguably the greatest pop music phenomena of alltime.

The band replicate, in sight and sound, the psychedelic era of Sgt Pepper and the creative masterpieces of The White Album and Abbey Road.

The Cavern Beatles play their entire show completely live, with just four musicians, no backing tracks or tapes are used.

The audience will also be thrilled by four costume changes and lighting, which complements the show.

Both shows start at 7.30pm. Tickets are available by phoning 01698 403120 or visiting culturenl.co.uk
