Band hope for great feedback at gig

A Blantyre band are set to battle it out with bands from across the country this week.

The Naked Feedback will compete for a £1000 cash prize and the chance to play alongside chart-topping Scottish rock band, Biffy Clyro.

After a nationwide search, pub chain O’neill’has narrowed hundreds of applicants down to a handful of regional finalists, as they hunt for the UK’S best new act as part of their Sound of Summer music competitio­n – andthe Naked Feedback are one of those taking part.

Having triumphed in their local heats, the swedge rock band, will be competing at one of the six regional finals taking place at pubs across the country.

They will be competing against acts like indie-pop band Pages and psychedeli­c wave group Geography of the Moon, and locals are invited to go along and show their support.

The five acts will take it in turns to perform at O’neill’s Merchant Square on Thursday, August 22, with the lucky winner taking home a £1000 cash prize.

They will then go on to battle it out with the five other regional winners from across country in the grand final, before the panel of expert judges crowns the national winner who will secure a three-date UK tour, culminatin­g in the opportunit­y to support Biffy Clyro at this year’s‘jack Daniel’s Presents’event in Birmingham.

James Ireson, marketing manager at O’neill’s, said:“the standard of this year’s entrants is higher than ever before and we’re so excited to be giving upcoming artists the incredible opportunit­y to perform alongside Biffy Clyro.”

The Naked Feedback, a four-piece rock and roll group from Blantyre, are explosive and full of passion. In the past two years, the band have become recognised for their high quality music videos, with attention-grabbing visuals and thought provoking stories.

Their latest single,the Goodbye, reached over 40,000 views on social media in its first two weeks.
