If there aren’t any words to describe how much you appreciate that special someone who makes a massive difference to their community, the Wishaw Press competition, Say it with Flowers, could give you a heartfelt way to say thank you.

We have teamed up with Newmains florist Pixie’s Petals, in Manse Road, to invite readers to nominate an unsung hero who goes out of their way to make life better for those around them.

We are inviting readers to tell us the story of that inspirational someone and why you believe they are so deserving of a beautiful bouquet created by Pixie’s Petals’ talented florists.

Every week, we will present a colourful hand-tied bunch of flowers, designed by mum and daughter florists Catherine Allen and Yvonne Brodie, and we’ll tell the story of that special someone .

To nominate someone for a Say it with Flowers bouquet, send your name, address and contact number, the name of the person you wish to nominate and information about why you think they deserve to receive the bouquet of the week to: Say it with Flowers competition, Wishaw Press, One Central Quay, Glasgow G3 8DA, or by email:news@wishawpress.co.uk. Entries should arrive by 5pm on Monday. If yours is the winning entry, our reporter will contact you to arrange for the flowers to be presented to the deserving recipient, which we’ll capture on camera.
