Is an exciting project for children and adults alike. It offers art classes for all ages. Mondays from 6pm to 7.30pm is for ages eight to 11, Tuesdays from 10.30am to noon is for adults, with a class for four to seven-year-olds from 6pm till 7.30pm. On Wednesdays from 6pm to 7.30pm, there is a class for ages 12 and upwards. Additional classes can be scheduled based on demand. CHURCH

The morning service in Overtown Parish Church this Sunday is at 11am. There will be a crèche for younger children. All visitors to the church will be made most welcome. The church will be open on Wednesdays from 11am to noon for quiet prayer and contemplat­ion LUNCH CLUB

Serves lunches each Monday from noon until 2pm. Two courses are provided for £4, comprising of main course with tea/coffee or juice followed by dessert. A takeaway service is also available if it is required. LINE DANCING CLASSES

The classes are held on Wednesdays in the hall of Overtown church, starting with a beginners’ and refreshers’ class from 12.30pm. Followed by the main class from 1.15pm until 2.45pm, all ages and abilities are welcome.

CLELAND

COUNTRY DANCING

Scottish Country Dancing class restarted last Monday in Cleland Community Centre. The class runs from 2pm to 3.30pm and all levels are welcome for fun, fitness and friendship.

MOTHERWELL AND WISHAW

CRAFT GROUP

The Motherwell Ladies of Steel group meets on the third Wednesday of the month in the Daisy Park Community Centre, on Cassels Street, Motherwell from 7pm to 8.30pm. Entrance is £4. The October Community Breakfast will be held this Saturday from 10am until 11.30am. Do come along and enjoy some time together with a chat plus hot filled rolls and tea/coffee available. No charge made and all most welcome.

On Sunday Rob Jones leads worship with assistance for the deaf provided by Paula (Electronic Notetaking) and Anne (BSL). For all unable to attend there is an invitation to join in via the live link at the church website (dalzielsta­ndrews.org.uk) or catch up later on YouTube. A separate stream is available to assist the deaf and hard of hearing.

The Carpet Bowls Group meet on Monday and Thursday afternoons from 2pm until 4pm. The prayer group meet each Wednesday at 1pm in the prayer room with the Men’s Club meeting each Monday evening at 7.30pm. The choir practice takes place each Wednesday evening starting at 7.30pm.

The Sisterhood meets on October 16 at 2pm. The members will have a talk from Deborah and Lorna about the challenges of dementia.

This year’s Christmas Craft Table Top Sale will take place from 11.00am on Saturday, November 2. Tables can be hired for £10 from Alex Baird on 01698 262915. While the sale takes place there is a chance to drop into the small hall to buy a hot filled roll plus a cup of tea or coffee. UNITED REFORM CHURCH

Tuesdays: Tots of Fun parents’ and toddlers’ group 9.30-11.15am, walking group meets at the centre 10.30am to noon, community café - noon to 1pm, Zumba for five to 10 year-olds 3.304.30pm, and senior bingo 6-9pm.

Wednesdays: Flash Club (after school club) 3.15-5pm during term time.

All P1-5 children are welcome to join this club; snack bar serves healthy snacks.

Children must be accompanie­d by a parent or guardian.

Football for P1s and over at the Cambusneth­an pitches 6-8pm. Thursdays: lunch club noon to 1pm. Please inform the centre if you would like to attend on Tuesday, so that they can order your meal. New members are welcome to join this club, and Your Thursday Club at 2-4pm.

The food bank thanks everyone for their continued support and is open in the village at 1pm on Wednesdays.

The group are running low on tinned meat, fish, vegetables and fruit. It also requires pasta and rice meals, noodles, tea and coffee, and toiletries. Donations can be dropped off at the Asda Newmains store or handed in to Bonkle Church. PRAYER COURSE

The prayer course continues to run in the small hall of Coltness Church on Wednesdays. It will be a journey through the Lord’s Prayer, featuring video teaching from Pete Greig. SHOEBOX APPEAL

Items for the Blythswood Care appeal this week includes sweets (best before March 2020), combs, candles, new socks and underwear.
