The morning service on Sunday will be conducted by Rob Jones, followed by a soup and sweet lunch in the large hall of the church.

Assistance for the deaf is provided by Helen (BSL signer) and Paula (electronic note taker). The service will be live streamed via the church website (www. dalzielsta­ndrews.org.uk) with a separate stream available for those who are deaf or hard of hearing. Catch-up later on YouTube is also available.

This will be followed by a soup and sweet lunch in the large hall of the church. All will be made most welcome.

The men’s club meet on Monday evenings and tonight’s meeting of the sisterhood will include an update on the work of CHAS.

Guild members are welcome to attend the joint Guild rededicati­on service which is being held in St John’s Parish Church, Hamilton on Thursday evening, starting at 7.30pm.

On Tuesday, October 29 the Guild will hold a regular meeting, starting at 2pm where Rob Jones will speak on this year’s Guild theme.

This year’s Christmas table top sale will be held on Saturday, November 2, starting at 11am. Lots of craft items will be available to buy.

There is still time to reserve a table, at a cost of £10, for anyone wishing to sell Christmas craft items. Contact Alex Baird on 01698 262915 for more informatio­n.

Hot filled rolls, home baking, and teas/ coffees will be on sale in the small hall of the church during the sale. There will be something for everyone; all welcome.

Are holding an alternativ­e Christmas shop in Wishaw Old Parish Church from November 4-8, between 10am and 4pm and on November 9, from 10am to 1pm.

All items of goods as new toys, gift sets, jewellery, toiletries and gift sets can be purchased on the day. There will also be a stall of items from the GLO Centre in Motherwell and an opportunit­y to donate goods to the Basics Food Bank. All money raised will be donated to local charities.

A service of remembranc­e will be held in Belhaven Memorial Park on Sunday, November 10 at 1pm. WISHAW UNITED REFORMED CHURCH

The service on Sunday is at 11.15am in Coltness Community Centre and will be conducted by Rev Derek Corner. Everyone welcome. The Women’s Union meets every Wednesday at 2pm and today’s speaker will be Mr Bob Copeland. The Girls’ Brigade meets every Thursday at 6.30pm and a Halloween party has been organised for this week.

The service on Sunday will be a celebratio­n of the Lord’s Supper at 11.30am in Cambusneth­an Old and Morningsid­e Church.

It will be conducted by the Rev Norman McKee. The locum minister, Mr White, can be contacted on 01555 890704 for pastoral visits.

The mothers’ and toddlers’ group continues on Wednesdays at 10am; new members welcome.

Anchor Boys meet on Tuesdays between 6pm and 7pm and on Mondays the Junior section of the Boys’ Brigade meets between 7pm and 9pm, both sections meet in the church halls.

The Company and Senior section for P7s and over meet on Fridays between 7pm and 9pm in Coltness High School.

Girls’ Brigade sections, Explorers, Juniors, Seniors and Brigaders have now resumed on Wednesdays at their usual times in the church halls.

The Guild are holding a coffee evening on Tuesday at 7.15pm with entertainm­ent provided by the Arietta choir from Hamilton.

Tickets cost £4, available from members or paid at the door on the night. All welcome.

The men’s club meets on Wednesdays in the games room at 7.15pm and new members are welcome.

The choir practise continues on Thursdays at 7.30pm, new members are always welcome.

A Big Hymn Sing event will be held in Bellshill Central Parish Church on Sunday, at 6.30pm. CAMBUSNETH­AN CLUB

Entertainm­ent for members and guests begins with social dancing in the concert hall and cash bingo on Thursday; cabaret and dancing plus bingo on Friday; cabaret and dancing in the concert hall plus bingo on Saturday. Snowball of £150 and treasure chest.

Dancing and bingo is on Monday, and Slimming World class is at 7.30pm on Tuesdays.

Activities at the centre on Greenfield Drive, Wishaw this week sees on Mondays: alternativ­e dance - noon to 1pm, girls’ group for P5-7 from 6-7pm and for S1s at 7.30-9pm.

Tuesdays: Tots of Fun parents’ and toddlers’ group 9.30-11.15am, walking group meets at the centre 10.30am to noon, community café - noon to 1pm,

Zumba for five to 10 year-olds 3.304.30pm, and senior bingo 6-9pm.

Wednesdays: Flash Club (after school club) 3.15-5pm during term time.

All P1-5 children are welcome to join this club; snack bar serves healthy snacks.

Children must be accompanie­d by a parent or guardian.

Football for P1s and over at the Cambusneth­an pitches 6-8pm. Thursdays: lunch club noon to 1pm. Please inform the centre if you would like to attend on Tuesday, so that they can order your meal. New members are welcome to join this club, and Your

CLASSES

A computer basics course will give technophob­es an introducti­on into using a computer with an SQA qualificat­ion available at the end.

It runs from 9.30-11.30am every Tuesday at the NCT Centre.

The centre also hosts a digital inclusion class on Mondays from 9.30-11.30am.

A family history group will also run at the Newmains computer suite, situated to the left of Newmains Primary School.

It takes place every Wednesday from 1.30-3.30pm.

A computer basics course is also available in Newmains IT suite on Tuesdays from 1-3pm.

BONKLE

CHURCH

The service, Sunday school and creche is at noon this Sunday in Bonkle Parish Church. Members of the congregati­on are asked to check with the church diary or contact Gladys on 01501 820554, before arranging events or functions. SHOEBOX LUNCH

The recent Shoebox lunch held in Bonkle Church raised £225 for this year’s Blythswood Care appeal.

Organisers would like to thank those who supported this event with a big thank you to all the local ladies who helped in any way to ensure its success.
