Top shows set to tread EK boards

Bookends Theatre Company are delighted to bring another Hollywood Radio Classic to East Kilbride Arts Centre next month.

They will launch their lunch time production of Jane Eyre at the theatre on February 2.

The production tells the story of orphan Jane Eyre is left to live under the charity of her Aunt Reed.

After 10 years of mistreatme­nt and segregatio­n in her aunt’s home, she is sent to boarding school where Jane grows up both physically and mentally and becomes a teacher.

Jane successful­ly applies for the position of Governess at Thornfield Hall where she falls in love with the master, Mr Rochester, and he with her.

However, the master has a terrible and dark secret that threatens to tear them apart.

That is followed by a brand new imagining of‘The Francie and Josie Show’for 2020.

The much loved Glasgow characters return with another nod to nostalgia as they open up the archives with a show full of fantastic comedy sketches, routines and songs starring Scottish Variety and Pantomime favourites Liam Dolan as Francie and Johnny Mac as Josie.

The‘Francie and Josie Sketchbook’ guarantees a trip down memory lane that will leave you feeling“La-Di-DaDi-Da”– it’s an evening you’ll be“Sure, Sure, Sure”to remember.
