As services begin to recover from Covid-19, NHS Lanarkshire has reinstated home births.
The service was stopped following the coronavirus outbreak but is now being brought back in a further boost to expectant mums.
Cheryl Clark, NHS Lanarkshire’s Chief Midwife, said: “As we move forward more of our services will begin to return. The first of these, is being able to offer home births again. Mums-to-be can discuss their birthing options with their midwife.
“We are continuing to ask pregnant women who are scheduled to attend for ultrasound scans, appointments in our maternity day bed unit, antenatal clinics and maternity triage to boot for the fund.
Francis, who runs the Fighting Scots Gym in Bellshill, said “Having known Pauline, Wullie and the Mason family for a long number of years we would like to offer our support during this devastating time.”
