“She’s been my life fixer”.

The words of one woman to her best friend who has been there through some of the toughest times of her life.

Diane Paton has had best mate Cherise Frew by her side as she battled through a series of challenges.

Diane said: “She has held me up through some of the toughest times of my life.

“I lost my two baby boys after birth due to a rare genetic disorder and Cherise always makes sure my babies are remembered every birthday, anniversary and Mothers Day.

“She comes to the cemetery and does a balloon release and is there night and day for emotional support despite the fact she is a busy mum of three herself .”

To thank Cherise for all she has done for her, Diane nominated her for our weekly Say it with Flowers competition.

And we surprised Cherise at her home in Eastfield, Harthill with a beautiful bouquet of flowers, courtesy of our friends at Pixie’s Petals in Newmains.

Diane added: “I’ve had an extremely rough few years with my mental health resulting in hospitilisation and as always she was right by my side she has been my rock and my voice when I wasn’t able to speak for myself.

“Without her I know I wouldn’t be here today as she has been my crutch in some of the most heartbreaking moments of my life.

“If anyone deserves flowers it’s her. I could never thank her enough for everything she’s done for me the last few years.

“She has been fantastic and continues to be an amazing support and best friend. I’d like to nominate her as she deserves more than I could ever thank her for.”

The Wishaw Press has re-launched our Say it with Flowers competition.
