Club secretary Lesley McNicol said: “Everyone was really excited to get back out competing; athletes, coaches, parents and officials, as it was a long time coming.
“The first outdoor event was organised by Scottish Athletics for the weekend of August 8/9 but that was put on hold, as permission to run then event was received too late and everyone was really disappointed.
“However coaches, athletes and parents alike were not disappointed at Meadowmill.
“Competition was a bit different from what we are used to, in that there were half the numbers in each race with every second lane on the track being used.
“Social distancing was well in place and everything ran smoothly over the weekend.
“The club is gradually returning to outdoor training at Wishaw Sports Centre and John Cumming Stadium, with training squads being phased in to return.
“Our membership is still healthy and we are looking forward to seeing all athletes out on track again in the near future.”
