NL Leisure gearing up for reopening

An increasing number of people have been frequenting and appreciating the beauty of naturewehaveonourown doorsteps while lockdown restrictions have been in place.

NL Leisure staff are continuing their preparations ahead of Covid restrictions being eased later this month.
Under the Scottish Government’s roadmap out of lockdown, gyms and swimming pools will be able to reopen on April 26 as progress with the vaccine rollout and falling case numbers meaning a more hopeful outlook.
In a statement posted on its website, NL Leisure stated:“We are continuing to work hard behind the scenes to prepare the majority of culture and leisure services and programmes for reopening from April 26.
“With the support of NLC and all partners, we need to ensure all relevant safety measures and procedures are in place and in line with the most up to date Government advice.
“We thank you for your continued patience while we work on our recovery plans.We will confirm opening dates and full details as soon as possible.
“Venues and community facilities currently being used for essential services will continue to provide these services.
“Reopening plans are subject to review in line with government updates. Please keep checking our social media channels and website for more information related to all programmes and services.
“Thank you for your understanding and continued support.”
On May 17, outdoor adult contact sport and indoor group exercise can restart. According to the guidance, indoor non-contact sport can take place in early June.
