Carluke Camera Club: Friday’s meeting of Carluke Camera Club took the form of an internal competition between club members.
A very large number of entries were submitted, covering a wide range of subjects and processed by a wide range of different techniques.
The judge was Stewart DoddBEMLRPS,a committeememberof Dundee Photographic Society, to whom all the entries had been submitted earlier.
This gave him an appropriate period of time to carefully consider each entry for its relative merits and, also, the ability to offer some very constructive and helpful commentsoneachone. This was very much appreciated by all of the entrants.
The overall standard was very good with several entries being awarded ‘HighlyCommended’ status, but the overall winner was‘Colours of Luskentyre’, a dramatic landscape view on the Isle of Harris, submitted by Paul Skehan.
The speaker at next Friday’s meeting will be Les Loosemore, from Bridgend in SouthWales, and his subject will be “Sport and Others”.
Full details of this and all of the Clubs’activities are available online at www. carluke-cc.org.uk.
