Bright sparks scoop top award
AWishaw business has been recognised for its hard work at a top industry event.
CS Electrical, based in the town, was crowned Best Electrical Contractor in Scotland at the 2021 Scottish Home Improvement Awards.
The awards are Scotland’s biggest i ndustry trade event and attract over 1,000 companies from all across Scotland, with customers voting for who they think should win – the top companies in each category are then shortlisted with finalists independently judged.
There are three staff at CS Electrical, business owner and electrician Craig Stewart, alarm and CCTV engineer Robert Watson and apprentice and electrician Ryan Brown.
CS Electricals owner Craig told the Wishaw Press: “We knew that for a short while that we were on the shortlist but we never expected to win our category.
“We always know that we give our customers the best service we can but it is always nice to be recognised for it.
“People don’t see everything that it takes to run a business, such as the late nights at the computer or long hours on site.
“A bit of recognition really makes it all worth it, I am really chuffed with the win.
“A t C S E l e c t r i c a l w e carry out a lot of domestic work, such as bespoke light fittings, but we also cater to commercial and industrial needs. We offer a real mix of work.
“We have been based in Wishaw since I started the company six years ago and we are proud to bring a national award back here.
“We want to thank our customers who voted for us to be nominated and allowed us to go on to win the full thing.”
