Salon owner shortlisted for awards

-

THE OWNER of a new beauty salon in Wokingham’s town centre has been shortlisted for a major honour in a national competition.

Simone Thomas, from Denmark Street based Simone Thomas Salons, has been named as a finalist in the Business Thinker category of the Most Wanted Awards.

The hair loss expert has said she has helped hundreds of clients and has grown her brand into a busy two-salon business, with a weekly residency at a Harley Street clinic.

And she attributes her shortlisting in these hairdressing awards as down to her achievements and innovations in treating hair loss.

The judging panel includes influential names in hair, fashion, business and the media, and the awards aim to celebrate outstanding individuals, teams and salons.

She will find out if she has won at the special award ceremony, which will be hosted by comedian Katherine Ryan and take place in London’s Guildhall on Monday, September 4.

“It’s such an honour to be shortlisted,” said Ms Thomas.

“It’s been an incredibly busy few years for the brand, so to be recognised for my business acumen is very special.

“These awards are so hotly contested and I’m thrilled to be competing alongside such esteemed industry names.”

Catherine Handcock, Publisher of Creative HEAD, said that she had been impressed with the quality of entries.

“We have an exceptionally strong line-up of finalists who, together, demonstrate a wealth of skills, innovation and forward-thinking that is very exciting to see,” she said.

“All our finalists are brilliant at what they do – now let’s look forward to the Grand Final to discover the overall winners.”
