Evendons visit Microsoft

- By THEO NEHME Evendons Primary School

ON Friday 9th June Y3 and Y4 from Evendons Primary School visited Microsoft.

Evendons were the first ever primary school allowed into Microsoft!

The first thing we did when we arrived was walk into a dim room with lots of red chairs.

Then, we split into groups of eight or nine.

After that, each group got given an ordinary item like sunglasses or a bath.

We all had to make the item we got given cool. It was a competition and there was a prize. There were eight entries, one from each group.

One was called the Baccusi, one was called the Barthatron, and one was called the Fifi glove.

The kind Get On team were running the challenging competition and they said they would announce the winners later.

After that, we went out to the pond opposite the building.

There was a path that led to the pond. It was covered in goldenbrown mud with dark green stinging nettles on either side.

The pond had a fountain in the middle that was spraying water high in the blue sky.

After we got back, we got to unbox some silver Microsoft Surface computers.

We got to do the Minecraftbased hour of code where we were doing stuff like shearing white sheep and cutting down trees to make houses.

Then Evendons got back on the Coach, exhausted and went back home.
