A WOMAN from Wokingham has been found guilty of drink driving.

Melanie Amanda Louise Carruthers, 57, of Waterloo Crescent, appeared at Reading Magistrate­s’ Court on November 14 where she denied driving while over the alcohol limit in Waterloo Road on July 1 this year.

Ms Carruthers was found guilty and fined £550; ordered to pay a surcharge of £55 and costs of £775. She was also disqualifi­ed from holding a licence for 18 months.

A MAN from Wokingham is due to appear in court charged with two counts of theft.

Stever Peter Orme, 37, of All Saints Close, is charged with stealing lead, belonging to NatWest Bank, in Broad Street, and stealing an automatic machine or meter, belonging to Martin and Pole estate agents. Both charges relate to an incident on March 23 this year.

Mr Orme has pleaded guilty to the first, but not guilty to the second.

He has been remanded on unconditio­nal bail to appear at Reading Magistrate­s’ Court on January 10.

A MAN from Somerset has been convicted of drink driving in Wokingham.

Scott Adam Pattemore, 31, of Waterloo Street, Weston-SuperMare, appeared at Reading Magistrate­s’ Court on November 14 where he denied driving while over the alcohol limit in Murdoch Road on August 29, 2016.

Mr Pattemore was found guilty, and fined £450; ordered to pay a surcharge of £45, and costs of £750. He was also disqualifi­ed from driving for 42 months.

A MAN from Woodley is due to appear in court charged with public order offences.

Ricky Hedges, 39, of Welford Road, is alleged to have used threatenin­g, abusive or insulting words or behaviour towards a person in Theale on March 22 this year. He is also alleged to have possessed an extendable baton during the same incident. Mr Hedges denies both charges. He has been remanded on unconditio­nal bail to appear at Reading Magistrate­s’ Court on January 15 for the trial.

A MAN from Wokingham is due to appear in court charged with possessing class A drugs and surrender to custody at Berkshire Magistrate­s’ Court on September 14. MrManning denies both charges.

He has been remanded on criminal property.

Anthony Robertson, 35, of Waterloo Road, is charged with possessing with intent to supply cocaine in Bracknell on January 4 this year. He is also charged with possessing heroin in Bracknell on the same day. Finally, he is charged with acquiring, using or possessing criminal property, namely £790, in Bracknell on the same day.

Mr Robertson has been sent for trial at Reading Crown Court on December 19.

A MAN is due to appear in court charged with stealing two trees from a property in Wokingham.

Assad Banaras, 39, of London Road, Reading, is charged with stealing two bay trees with Christmas lights from outside a property in London Road, Wokingham, on December 10, 2016.
