Nursery firm ‘Best in Europe’
A FINCHAMPSTEAD nursery has been celebrating this week after its parent company was judged to be the Best In Europe.
Oak Tree Day Nursery is run by Childbase Partnership – the firm beat 112,000 companies in 34 countries to scoop the prestigious European Business Award in Poland.
Described as ‘the gold standard for business excellence’ and commended for its creativity, innovation, and impressive respect for employees, Childbase Partnership received the Chairman’s Selection Award.
Representing the UK in the finals and collecting the award were Childbase Partnership employee owners, Dagmara Lamont, Recruitment Compliance Officer, and Jade Uko, Marketing Analyst and External Relations Officer.
Jade said: “We are only two of 1,800 employee owners who celebrate all our successes together and share our profits. Tonight we are all celebrating this amazing award.”
Philip Forrest, Chairman of Judges, numbering over 100 for the whole competition, said: “Childbase Partnership presented a unique Employee Owned Business model in a sector dominated by many, many traditional methodologists.
“Their ethical and sustainability record, and impressive respect for their employees, has been equally matched by their creativity and innovation resulting in an organisation rated extremely highly by independent government assessors.
This has given them a steady business expansion matched by consistent profit performance across multiple operations right across the nation.”
Mike Thompson, Founder and Chairman, was pleased to add this award to a flurry of other recent accolades.
He said: “We take great pride in the fact that each and every Childbase Partnership employee is an owner with a voice and the power to effect positive change in their company. That voice, the only one that matters in competition and at awards ceremonies, was clearly evident in the passion, knowledge and pride demonstrated by the team when talking about their company”.
