Make a date for panto auditions

-

THE SEARCH is on for some of the most important parts of this year’s Hexagon pantomime: the junior chorus.

Children aged between nine and 16 are invited to audition for a role in the show – and have the chance to appear in Aladdin alongside CBeebies superstar Justin Fletcher and his equally talented Dame, Paul Morse.

The auditions take place at The Hexagon on Sunday, July 1 and any child can enter, regardless of theatrical experience.

Pantomime director Steve Boden said: “The auditions in Reading are some of the toughest in the country as the level of the talent is so high.

“We will be looking for three teams of children to take part in the show and as well as dancing ability we look for children who have that special something extra that makes them stand out from the crowd.”

“Performing in a professional production is a fabulous and rewarding opportunity for the children and is always a lot of fun, but it is also a lot of hard work.”

Full details on the auditions as well as the application forms can be found on The Hexagon website or www. imaginetheatre.co.uk.

Application forms do not need to be submitted in advance although where possible please complete them beforehand and bring with you to save time on audition day.

The show runs from Saturday, December 8 to Sunday, January 6.
