Awards celebrate the best in the village

-

THE first Twyford Together community awards were held last month at a special ceremony in Ruscombe restaurant Buratta’s.

The awards aim to celebrate individuals, groups and businesses who make a difference to life in the village. Residents could nominate their suggestions and a shortlist was prepared by a panel of independent judges.

Some categories were so hard to decide that the judges made joint awards.

Gordon Storey, chair of Twyford Together, said: “What a wonderful evening and celebration of our community.

“Massive thanks too to Westgate Electrical Services Limited for sponsoring the Community Awards, RG10 Magazine for sponsoring the evening and Sports-Alive Photography for the awards photographs.”
