Watching… Some Scandi crime series including Wallander and The Bridge. Reading… Elizabeth and Her German Garden by Elizabeth von Arnim caught my eye because of its cover, but the story sounds like the kind of thing I need in my life, too. The main character escapes from the tribulations of life and finds joy in her garden. Listening to… I’m addicted to podcasts at the moment. I love Jessie Ware’s podcast Table Manners; she’s had everyone from Paloma Faith to Sadiq Khan round for a meal. It’s great fun.
Eating at… I’m heading to Tokyo in September to promote the Japanese launch of my previous cookbook, Rachel Khoo’s Kitchen Notebook. It’s going to be an intense trip, but I hope I’ll be able to fit in a bowl of ramen.
Scrolling… Duolingo. It’s a language app, which gets you to repeat writing and listening exercises to help you remember the words and phrases. It really works. Buying… I’m actually trying to consume less at the moment. I spent a huge amount of money last year renovating my London studio, Khoollect. So this year it’s all about being clever with what I already have.
Holidaying in… Austria, so I can see my parents. They live in a beautiful mountain town on the Swiss border. Visiting… I really want to see the Frida Kahlo exhibition at the Victoria & Albert Museum. Indulging in… A spa treatment at Cowshed in London; it’s my favourite for their ultimate pedicure.
