A longer fringe, ie, past the eyebrows at eye level and longer, is best softer and more layered, as it moves around and looks very sexy. On a heart-shaped face, a long fringe curved at the edges is very feminine. A slight separation in the middle also makes it more playful look. A shorter, heavier fringe around eyebrow level looks strong, and suits square and round face shapes best. More of a statement, this looks great on either a bob or hair past the shoulder, and looks amazing cut into the temple area, as this exposes the cheekbones, shaping the face more. A side fringe is also a great way to shape your face and suits an oval face, as it can be worn heavy or soft in style. Softer works best on shaggy hairstyles without much shape, and is best cut shorter on the part side, getting longer (slanted), to make the hair swing away.
