early mornings

Being creative in the morning is impossible. I’ve never had a good idea in the morning. That’s why I wake up at 11am.

Cultural snobbery

If I don’t like French food, that doesn’t make me a lesser person. I don’t have sophisticated tastes; if you looked in my collection of DVDs, you’d see Jaws and Star Wars.

In the book library, you’d see John Grisham and Sidney Sheldon.

Cinemas

I think if I was a kid and you asked what would the number one thing I’d like to do, I would have said I’d love to produce a movie.

But I don’t like going into cinemas. And all these crazy special effects at the moment, it’s too much.

the thought of retiring

I’d rather drop dead at my job. The idea of just playing golf makes me want to jump off a bridge. I’m going to work in my eighties or nineties if I can.
