a2 Milk, £1.39 for 1 litre, is cows’ milk that’s easy to digest, even for those who thought themselves lactose intolerant. It’s more gentle on the stomach because it contains only the A2 beta casein protein. Cows used to produce A2 milk, but over time A1 protein emerged and now most regular milk contains a mixture of the two proteins.
