Karren’s sneak peak of this year’s Apprentice…

-

The tasks on this year’s The Apprentice are different to anything we’ve seen before.

They are much more challenging and a real test of people’s mettle. It goes without saying that everyone who enters the show and gets through has a business plan that could be backed by Lord Sugar. So the purpose of the tasks is to see whether they can run a business with all the negotiations, presentation, marketing, teamwork and relationshipbuilding that that entails.

Make no mistake about it, this is a life-changing partnership. The winner receives £250,000, and a partner in Lord Sugar, who takes care of all the infrastructure of their business, so they don’t have to worry about the day-to-day details, and can concentrate on just launching and running their business. The previous winners of Lord Sugar’s investment are all incredibly successful.

One thing about the show still amazes me. And that is how often people don’t realise that if they work together as a team, and win, then everyone gets to stay. It is only if you are on the losing team that you might get fired. So giving everyone a job they can do well, as opposed to worrying about someone else getting all the glory and credit, is the best strategy. And that’s a brilliant lesson on how to succeed in business.
