✢ If m my self self-es­teem est has taken a bit of a dip… no con­test on this: a trip to the hair­dressers. i go to trevor sor­bie in Brighton, and seem to lose a decade dur­ing the cou­ple of hours i spend there. ✢ My in­stant con­fi­dence-boost­ing trick: i’m a great be­liever in the power of a mantra. chant­ing “om” to your­self can re­ally help you stay calm and fo­cused be­fore a big event.

✢ If my self-es­teem has taken a bit of a dip… i chat to my fam­ily, some­times about what has caused the dip, some­times about com­plete trivia. of­ten a cud­dle from my daugh­ter is enough to re­mind me of what i can do. i’m also try­ing hard to re­mem­ber that yes, while i can do any­thing, i can’t do ev­ery­thing.
