My culture diary
singer Kim wilde, 57, lives with her husband, actor Hal fowler, and their two children rose elisabeth, 18, and Harry, 20, in Hertfordshire
watching… Next of Kin – my husband, hal, has a part in it, so i need to catch up. reading… Unfaithful Music & Disappearing Ink by elvis costello – i’ve actually read it once before and i was really surprised at how much elvis and i have in common. Listening to… swedish singersongwriter Frida sundemo, who features on my new album. her album, Flashbacks & Futures, is melodic, uplifting alt-pop.
Eating at… the ivy café in wimbledon village – the food is excellent, with vibrant decor. Learning to… Paint. i loved rose wylie’s exhibition at london’s serpentine Gallery. Indulging in… any spa experience. when the children were younger we’d book into the spa at center Parcs while they were out climbing! shopping at… topshop. i get my shopping fix by going out with my daughter rose – we usually start at the store in london’s oxford circus and take it from there. i’ll always check out wolford too – a bit pricey, but such good quality. Visiting… Going away is a luxury, but hal and i have promised ourselves a thai spa experience to celebrate his 50th birthday and our 22nd wedding anniversary. i can’t wait.
Kim’s new album, here come the aliens, is out on 16 March. She’s on tour 30 Mar-30 Apr; ticketmaster.co.uk
