Three years ago, I signed up to Woman Bingo after seeing it in the magazine and I have really enjoyed it ever since. I’m 77 and I’ve found the site really easy to get used to, whether you’re good with computers or not! I even got a £25 Welcome Bonus when I joined and made a £10 deposit.
I’ve been lucky enough to win the odd £100 and £200 in the years since I’ve joined. But, in September 2016, I had the best surprise ever from the site…
Game changer
I was playing on Bullion Bonanza – it’s not a slot game that I usually play but I fancied it for a change. I hadn’t been playing for long at all, when three gold bars came up on the screen.
In Bullion Bonanza, that could only mean one thing – I was a winner! Little did I know just how much I had won.
I screamed out with joy – which sent my husband, Mick, rushing in from the next room in surprise. ‘What on earth’s the matter?’ he asked. ‘Nothing ’s the matter, I’ve just won on the bingo!’ I cheered. I hadn’t even told Mick the amount and he was already beaming from ear to ear.
‘What’s even better is it’s £14,973!’ I added. We looked at each other, stunned. It was incredible to win that much money. I kept looking at my bingo account balance at the top of the screen, and it definitely was showing I had won £14,973!
Once the win had sunk in, I told my family and began thinking about what to do with the money.
Mick and I absolutely love holidays and we’ve had some fantastic adventures in places like Egypt before. After much consideration and searching through sites online, we decided to go to Corfu with some friends in May.
It was such a luxury, booking flights and a hotel in such a beautiful location and, of course, the thought of being somewhere sunny with our closest friends is so lovely.
Even after booking our sunshine holiday, we had plenty of money left over and I wanted to treat my grandchildren and my family. My youngest granddaughter has put her money into
savings. My eldest granddaughter treated herself and went shopping with her money and my grandson struck a happy medium and did a bit of both. I also bought myself a new washing machine with some of my winnings. Even buying that was exciting as I got an all-singing, all-dancing model that’s really reliable and will last for years.

I also took a leaf out of my youngest granddaughter’s book and put some of the money into savings, so if me
and Mick want to book any more holidays, we can. We’ll probably go down to Bournemouth for a weekend as well, when the weather is nicer, later in the year.
I’ve mentioned my win to a few friends and I know one of my friends has signed up to Woman Bingo. As for me, I’m still logging in a few times a week when I fancy it. I sometimes play in the mornings and I usually go on the slots. There are also lots of bingo games such as Bingo Lounge and Sapphire which are also really fun.
There are some scratchcard games, such as Scratchcard Shop, which I recommended to my friends and would suggest for any newbies, as it’s really good for anyone starting out and tickets are only 20p. Such a bargain!
That’s another great thing about Woman Bingo – there are games to suit absolutely every budget – with lots of options starting from 1p or 2p.
I still pinch myself when I think about winning £14,973 – it’s such a huge amount of money to win and treating my family to holidays and meals out makes it even better!
