Inside the mega rich world of the Clooney twins

George and amal Clooney’s twins, Ella and alexander, arrived last week at London’s Chelsea and westminster hospital, where mum amal reportedly received the ‘Rolls Royce of care’ in the exclusive £8,000 a night Kensington wing. The couple’s publicist released a witty statement saying, ‘Ella, alexander and amal are all healthy, happy and doing fine. George is sedated and should recover in a few days!’

Fatherhood will be a new adventure for the one-time serial batchelor, who swore in 2006 that he’d never have children. But now, it seems the couple, whose wealth is estimated at £200 million, will stop at nothing to treat their babies to the very best. Here we take a peek-a-boo inside the glittering new world of the Clooney twins...

home sweet home

movie star george and human rights barrister amal have recently put the finishing touches to their grade ii listed riverside property in Berkshire costing a reported £12.5 million. The family home sits on a private island and it’s thought to be where the couple will raise their kids, as oxford-educated amal is keen that the children benefit from a British education. With a state-of-the-art nursery, 60ft swimming pool, cinema and tennis courts, there’ll be plenty to keep the little ones busy!

But the twins can expect a jet-set lifestyle, as mum and dad own a global property empire worth £140 million. last october they reportedly splashed out £30 million on a new york apartment overlooking central park. They also own an 18th century villa by italy’s lake como and a sprawling retreat in la. So the twins have already made a baby-step on the property ladder!

Battle of the Glam-mas!

The tots have two sets of doting grandparents. amal’s mum and dad, Baria and Ramzi alamuddin said, ‘The babies are beautiful and doing well.’ and george’s mother nina, 77, was so excited at the prospect of her son being a new dad at 56 that she let slip the sex of the twins in February. her husband nick said the twins were ‘absolutely beautiful’ and is full of admiration for amal and claims his son has ‘certainly married up!’

friendly advice

Supermodel cindy crawford and her husband Rande gerber, george’s business partner, are already in the running as godparents, as is george’s best pal Brad pitt. gerber posted a cheeky snap of him with a large delivery of pampers nappies for his pal, while cindy sent babygros in blue and pink. close friend Julia Roberts, who attended their lavish £13 million venetian wedding in 2014, is also sure to be on hand with plenty of parenting tips, as she has twins herself. and even former president obama, who reportedly visited the clooneys at the end of may, is said to have offered his advice. little ella and alexander are shaping up to be the best-connected babies in showbiz!

Beauty and Brains

There’s a high chance the twins will be blessed in the beauty stakes if they inherit their parents’ good looks. But amal and George have relied on more than just their appearance to get ahead. a fluent French and arabic speaker, Lebanon-born amal, 39, was raised in Buckinghamshire and studied law at oxford University before becoming one of the most promising lawyers of her generation. and George, 56, is more than just an actor, having directed and produced a string of box office bangers. He was also heavily involved in President obama’s 2008 and 2012 presidential campaigns and has supported a range of humanitarian causes, including the american Foundation for Equal Rights. a well-rounded education will surely be a high priority for the Clooneys!
