Kitty waters, 40, lives in worthing with her fiancé matt, 45.

All brides will know putting together a wedding takes a lot of work. As I run around town, juggling calls with florists and caterers, there’s no doubt I’m a little flustered. But I wouldn’t change a thing. And, it’s funny to think that, without an app, none of this would be happening...

After finding myself single, aged 29, I watched as one by one all my friends got married and settled down. While they all looked so happy, I was more concerned with going out and having fun.

Over the next few years, while I dated occasionally, it never amounted to anything. Back then that was fine with me – but eight years later I was still single.

Suddenly I realised I wanted what everyone else had – someone to share my life with. And, after setting up my business in coaching and helping others, I thought it was time to focus on my love life.

I’d briefly used Tinder before, but in January 2014 I downloaded the app again.

I matched with a few men, but none of them were my Mr Right. That is, until six months on, when Matt’s profile appeared.

We started chatting and two weeks later we met for lunch. I felt like I’d known him my whole life – our date lasted nine hours!

That November I moved in to his house and, in May 2017, we got engaged. We’re planning on getting married next month and, along with taking care of the final touches, I’m focusing on my business – Kitty Talks – a podcast interviewing inspiring people to help others follow their dreams. I know Tinder has a questionable reputation, but it changed my life, without it I might have never met the one.
