The laundry

i’ve always considered this my area of expertise – putting a load of washing on in the morning is as second nature as brushing my teeth. But, one day when i had to leave the house early, i asked Vinny if he could put a wash on. i came home hours later to find my favourite red cashmere jumper a sodden mess, and worse, shrunk to half the size. ‘it’s so small it wouldn’t even fit the kids!’ i cried. amazing how none of Vinny’s clothes had suffered the same fate.
