who could forget the time i entrusted Vinny with the online food shop? i opened the bags to find seven bunches of bananas instead of our usual single one. he’d thought the drop-down box on the website order form asking for the ‘quantity’ was asking for how many actual pieces of fruit he wanted. ‘how are we going to get through all these?’ i said, staring at the mound of 42 bananas. Vinny grinned sheepishly. ‘whoops,’ he said. and so, through another cheap tactic of ‘strategic incompetence’ he absolved himself from shopping for ever more!
